Travel Support for Students, Postdocs, Women, Minorities, and Disabled.

We encourage students, women, minorities and the disabled to apply for support to attend the 2014 conference. NSF has looked favorably on the possibility of providing funding for this participation, but no final decision has yet been made, so the availability of support is subject to final NSF approval. Nevertheless, we encourage applications because we are optimistic that funds will be approved.

Additional funding has been provided for this by Argonne National Laboratory and Emory University.
The amount we can offer depends upon demand, so please get your application for support in as soon as possible by email to the conference coordinator, Annette Anthony (annettefanthony@gmail.com). Please include:

  1. A title and one-paragraph abstract for a proposed talk.
  2. A brief letter of support from an advisor (students and postdocs only).
  3. An estimate of your travel expenses.
  4. A statement indicating your status (students and postdocs indicate year in program or indicate if female, minority, or disabled).
Please email this information to Annette by February TBA, 2015. Requests submitted past this deadline may be considered, but only if funding is still available.

All available funds for travel support for the 2014 conference have now been disbursed as of February 17.

Please note that the travel support is available only for participants from U.S. institutions.
