Applied Mathematics 8600
Seminar on Computational Math
This is an ongoing seminar that involves participation in the
Computational Math Seminar
run by the CU-Boulder Department of Applied
Mathematics. This Seminar usually meets every Tuesday between
10 and 11:30 AM in 1320 Grandview. A few of these meetings
feature a lecture from a leading researcher or practitioner
in the sciences. Others are devoted to informal open discussions
that are led by anyone present who choses to
discuss his or her research or who simply has questions or
issues raise. There are usually 10-20 faculty, students, and
visitors attending these sessions, and the discussion is almost
always lively, often spontaneous, and generally rewarding to
those interested in the research forefronts of computational
math.
